Sandberg Kessler is proud to announce joining LaBella Associates.   Our Jamestown office will become LaBella’s fifteenth location, and seventh in the state of New York.

All of Sandberg Kessler’s employees will be retained in the acquisition.  “We were drawn to the talent that exists within Sandberg Kessler.  Our goal is to give their team the resources of a larger firm and enable their growth,” President Robert A. Healy said.

Founded in 1991 as Thorsell, Harrington & Sandberg, Sandberg Kessler has long provided services to educational, institutional, municipal and healthcare clients– markets that have also been the core of LaBella’s business.  “The transition should be seamless,” Sandberg Kessler Principal Steven Sandberg said.  “Our clients will continue to be served by the team they know and trust, but internally we’ll have additional support and expertise.”

That support will include a full service team.  LaBella Associates offers in-house mechanical, electrical, plumbing and civil engineering, bridge and highway engineering, planning, and environmental consulting.  “By offering all of these services in-house, we can address any project challenge while our clients maintain a single point of contact,” Healy said. “Our commitment to our clients is to get the right resources in place for a successful project.  With this acquisition, we’re able to do that for clients in Jamestown and the surrounding areas.”

Our clients may notice a new email address from your design team, but rest assured that you can still get in touch through Sandberg Kessler email addresses.  We’re also still located at our office on East Sixth Street, and available at (716) 483-3153 to answer any questions.

Sandberg Kessler recognized by Buffalo Business First

Sandberg Kessler was recognized on June 26th by Buffalo Business First as one of the top three architectural firms that focus on Educational Projects. 85% of the practice’s work is with public schools, colleges and universities in New York State.

Citizens Opportunity for Development and Equality (CODE, Inc.) has retained Sandberg Kessler Architecture to design two green spaces in Jamestown’s East Side – a neighborhood lacking in public parks. CODE provides safe and sanitary housing nearby for working and low-income families and people with disabilities. 150 school-age children will be able to take advantage of the new parks. Funding is provided by NYS and several local foundations. Completion is to start in Spring 2016.
